Pauline McCutcheon

Pauline was born and raised in the Victorian wheat and sheep country of the Wimmera-Mallee.

She loved observing the bird life around the many local lakes and this carried over to bird life on the Yarra when she moved to Warrandyte and raised a family. Painting birds is just one passion, the other is capturing the wonders of the outback; the aridness, heat, endless blue skies, changing vegetation and the variations of light.

Pastel is Pauline’s favourite medium and she is not adverse to attempting other challenging subjects such as portraits, pets, animals, iconic buildings and structures and the local landscapes.

Pauline is a foundation member of the Pastel Palette, a member of the Pastel Society of Victoria, Australia Inc., the Australian Guild of Realist Artists and Warrandyte Arts.
