Attending our Monthly Meetings via Zoom

NB. Please ensure you have the latest software version of the Zoom app installed on your desktop or mobile device, otherwise you may be instructed to update it, before you are able to log in to the meeting.

Each month, when a demonstration is scheduled, an email will be sent to members with a link to Register for the meeting. Zoom meetings are free for members. Once registered, you will receive further information on how to join the meeting.

For those of you in other locations around Australia, the times listed for our meetings and events are in Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST).

Non-members can buy a ticket for $5 from our online Shop -> go to our Monthly Meetings collection. Once a Non-member ticket is purchased & funds received, a link to Register to join the meeting will be sent. Once registered, you will receive further information on how to join the meeting.

You can log in to our meeting earlier, usually around 7:00pm – 7:15pm when one of our committee members as the ‘Host’ opens the Zoom meeting. We open early so that you have time to get your tech/computer side sorted, before the actual meeting starts at 7:30pm each month. Once you access the meeting, you will be taken to a virtual ‘Waiting Room’. One of our Committee members will host the meeting and let you into the meeting, once they are set up at ‘The Lounge’ at Mount Waverley.

More About our Monthly Meetings

For most months of the year (except January, July & November), we hold our Monthly Meeting & Demonstration on the first Monday of the month, at ‘The Lounge’ in the Mount Waverley Community Centre, 47 Miller Crescent, Mount Waverley VIC 3149.

From February to October, when we have Demonstrations, our monthly meetings are also usually available to attend online via Zoom. This ensures that all of our members have access to our wonderful tutors & demonstrations remotely, if required.

Due to the Melbourne Cup holiday period, we don’t hold a meeting in November. Our Xmas get-together is held in December in-person only due to logistics (no Zoom).

Non-members are always welcome & the cost for them to attend via Zoom is $5 per meeting or $10 in-person at ‘The Lounge’ at Mount Waverley.

Our meetings are held on the first Monday of each month (except January, July and November) at ‘The Lounge’ at the Mt Waverley Community Centre, 47 Miller Crescent, Mt Waverley, commencing at 7.30pm.

You are advised to arrive by 7.15pm in order to take advantage of our Program. The Community Centre is located opposite the Mount Waverley train station and there is plenty of parking available on Miller Crescent and at the station.

7.15 Arrival Registration – sign in at the first desk as you enter and pay $5.00, (to cover meeting costs and supper) and purchase raffle tickets. Non-members are welcome too & their fee is $10.00

New members who are unable to print their own Membership card, can collect a name card from the Membership Coordinator
Browse the Library collection of DVDs and videos, available for loan for a small fee,
7.30 The President will call the meeting to order and will make a few announcements and invite members of the Committee to do the same
The Artist demonstrating will be introduced and will commence their demonstration
Supper break, tea and coffee and snacks are served.

9.45 The raffle is drawn, meeting normally concludes around 9:30pm-9:45pm
